About Sun Hyun LEE
My painting is simple traces of my absorption in the moment and my enjoyment of working.
When I approach a blank canvas, I have very little aim to describe the details of objects or even achieve technical completion. I try to let my arm and consequently my brush, go freely. In this way, I hope to allow my unconscious thought to express it self.
There is no action without intention but my aim is for the subconscious rather than the conscious to take precedence.
